The structured and result-oriented approach adopted by the Elycio Talen language method enables you to achieve your learning goals. The programme is always tailored fully to your individual requirements, needs and abilities.
Comprehensive analysis
We conduct a comprehensive intake meeting in which we work with you in making an inventory of the (business) situations in which you will use your new language. This inventory is then used to determine the skills you will require and your further learning goals. A number of tests are used to determine your entry level.
Individual learning plan
We use the information obtained during the intake meeting to draw up an individual learning plan of an appropriate educational design and which is tailored closely to your specific situation, needs and abilities.
Customised training from your personal trainer
You then develop your language skills in virtually continuous, intensive interaction with your personal professional language trainer. This intensive results-oriented method rapidly enables you to communicate adequately in your new language.
The trainer selects working methods compatible with your needs and abilities, thereby enabling you to develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in an extremely efficient and effective manner. The study material is tailored closely to your professional situation. Self-evidently, when ever possible you communicate in your new language during the course.
Personal, practice-oriented and efficient
The individual sessions with your trainer are supplemented and alternated with self-study using audiovisual equipment and computer-supported exercise programmes. In addition, you can also make use of our telecoaching services in between your sessions with your trainer: you can, for example, submit questions about specific professional terminology to your trainer by telephone or e-mail (you can contact our translation agency for complete translations of texts).
If you so require your course can also be supplemented with specialised modules that reinforce your professional communications skills in your new language, such as our 'Negotiating skills' and 'Méthodes de présentation' modules.
Our working method guarantees you optimum results; you can learn how to communicate effectively in every language, from Arabic to Swedish. Dutch-language courses are also available for speakers of other languages who plan to reside (temporarily) in the Netherlands, and for Dutch speakers who wish to improve their verbal or written language skills.
Planning
The planning for your individual language course is drawn up in consultation with you, and tailored fully to your personal wishes and abilities. You can, for example, opt for extremely intensive a course with sessions throughout consecutive days for one or more weeks, with one or two trainers and self-study practicals - or conversely, courses comprised of one or two four-hour sessions a week during the day or in the evenings. All courses are planned entirely in accordance with your needs - and all with the outstanding Elycio Talen quality.

- the amount of time that is available;
- the timeframe for the acquisition of the language;

- your prior knowledge of the language.
The trainer uses the information obtained during the intake meeting - where relevant, supplemented with a written test - to determine the most effective manner of achieving your learning goals.
