Language courses for groups (business)
English, German, French, Spanish and Chinese
Do you wish to improve your ability to communicate with your business relations abroad? If so, this training course is for you. Talen Twente regularly organises group courses in German, English, French, Spanish and Chinese for beginners and more proficient speakers. These courses, with a content tailored closely to today’s requirements imposed on communications skills, are intended for everyone who regularly maintains personal or business contacts abroad.
Focused on everyday business practice
These practice-oriented group courses focus on the improvement of your
speaking and listening skills. You are involved in role-playing, dialogues
and discussions in the group that increase your self-confidence, enlarge
your vocabulary and improve your insight into the grammar. The courses
focus on the practical use of the language in everyday situations rather
than on an in-depth knowledge of the grammar.
Of course, the results from the course are partly dependent on your motivation,
learning pace and attendance. Homework and self-study increase the effectiveness
of the course.
The trainers are native speakers
Our trainers are competent native or near-native speakers who enable the participants to attain an excellent command of the language and, moreover, introduce them to the business culture of the regions where the language is spoken.
Schedule
In principle, the duration of the course is 10 weeks, with a 2-hour evening lesson a week. Other times can be arranged (also during the day), if desired.
Small groups for maximum results
The courses are given for small groups of between five and a maximum of nine participants of a comparable language level. Groups are comprised on the basis of an intake interview. Working in small groups guarantees sufficient personal attention to each participant. The relatively short duration of the course is beneficial, since it will be easier to schedule the dates in your diary and avoid missing lessons.
Levels
Courses are offered at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. We determine your level and group division based on an intake interview, followed by a written test, if necessary.
Certificate of participation
Regular attendance of the lessons entitles the participant to a certificate at the end of the course. If you so require, the course can be completed with a test. Your final level will also be stated on the certificate.
Registration
You can register for a group course by phone, via our website or by completing
our registration
form. After we receive your (provisional) registration, we will contact
you for an intake interview. We will also assess your current level of
fluency.
